In an effort to combat corruption and misappropriation of funds amongst non-governmental entities in Sierra leone, SEND Sierra Leone has convened a crucial engagement with fellow Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) to improve on national accountability in utilising public funds on Thursday, September 24th, 2025.
In his keynote submission, Mr. Brima Mansaray, Head of Program for Governance and Gender Equality at SEND Sierra Leone, underscored the importance of such collaborative efforts. He stated that the primary aim of the engagement was to foster partnerships that would ensure all organizations can effectively deliver on their specific mandates.
He further stated that this collaboration would amplify timely delivery on frame work and social accountability in model.
The dialogue focused on building partnerships that would allow organizations to better deliver on their mandates while reinforcing national accountability frameworks.
Brima Mansaray, Head of Governance and Gender Equality at SEND Sierra Leone, said collaboration was “not just beneficial but essential” for creating real change.
“Our objective is to work together so we can be more effective,” he explained. “By joining forces, we can strengthen accountability frameworks and social accountability models, and ultimately drive transparency and good governance across Sierra Leone.”
