The official draw for the WAFU Zone A Qualifiers for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League will take place on Thursday, 6th August 2026, at 15:00 GMT in Banjul, The Gambia.

Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League champions Mogbwemo Queens will be among six national champions competing for the zone’s lone qualification slot to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League final tournament.

The draw will determine the fixtures for the qualifying competition, which is expected to be hosted in The Gambia.

The WAFU Zone A tournament traditionally serves as the pathway to the continental finals, with the winning team earning the region’s only ticket. With six clubs expected to participate, the competition is likely to adopt a single-group round-robin format, where each team plays every other side once, and the team that finishes top of the standings qualifies.

Mogbwemo Queens return to the regional competition with confidence after finishing runners-up in the 2024 edition. The Sierra Leonean champions will be aiming to build on that impressive campaign and secure a historic place at the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
