The Public Accounts Committee in parliament summons HRMO over discrepancies in staff payroll.
The Public Account Committee has summoned the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO), a central personnel agency of the Government of Sierra Leone, to question them about inconsistencies in staff payroll from the 2023 Audit Report Findings. The HRMO is responsible for providing human resource policies, advisory services, and civil service workforce management.
The PAC released a list of HRMO staff names that are not in the official staff payroll. The payroll discrepancies involve NLE 3,067,911, indicating inaccuracy in the payroll process.
The Public Account Committee, charged with reviewing financial statements of ministries, departments, and agencies, has invited the names on the list to appear before the committee on Monday, 20th January, for further investigation.
