Freetown, Sierra Leone — The Union of Musicians All-Stars Sierra Leone (ALL-STARS) has expressed strong support for artist Vida following her public account of alleged sexual assault.
In a statement issued on 27 May 2026, the union commended Vida for what it described as her “courageous decision” to speak out, acknowledging the challenges survivors face, including stigma, fear, and public scrutiny.
The organisation condemned all forms of sexual and gender-based violence, urging the public to respond with empathy and respect rather than judgement or speculation.
“No woman should ever endure violence, abuse, or forced intimacy under any circumstance,” the statement said.
ALL-STARS further emphasised its commitment to advocating for safer environments within both society and the entertainment industry, calling for conditions where women can live and work free from fear and exploitation.
The union also reassured Vida of its support, stating that survivors are not alone and that their voices deserve to be heard with dignity.
The statement was signed by Chairman C Bolt and Secretary General Fantacee Wiz.
