Freetown, Sierra Leone – The All Peoples Congress (APC) has announced that its negotiation team, through the International Moral Guarantors, has commenced face-to-face discussions with Government representatives led by Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.
In a press release dated Thursday 16th April 2026, the APC stated that the discussions focus on the Party’s concerns regarding the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity, the Tripartite Committee Recommendations, and the appointment of Edmond Sylvester Alpha as Chief Electoral Commissioner.
“While the discussions have not yet been concluded, we are encouraged by the progress made thus far,” the statement read.
The Party assured its membership and supporters that engagements will continue and that further updates will be provided.
The development marks a significant step in efforts to resolve the political impasse that has seen the APC withdraw its Members of Parliament and Local Council representatives from governance structures. The International Moral Guarantors are currently in the country to facilitate dialogue between the two major political parties.
