FREETOWN — The National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has announced the petroleum pricing structure for January 2026, applicable to all large-scale fuel uplifters.
Under the new pricing, all fuel transactions are to be settled in United States Dollars (USD). The NPRA set the pump prices as follows:
- Petrol: Le 28.50 per litre
- Diesel: Le 28.50 per litre
- Kerosene: Le 28.76 per litre
- Fuel Oil: Le 25.98 per litre

According to NPRA, the prices reflect a full pass-through cost structure, including international Platts prices for the Mediterranean region, freight, insurance, import duties, port and storage charges, and statutory levies. Calculations were based on an exchange rate of Le 23.78 to one US Dollar.
The government’s policy requiring bulk fuel purchases to be paid in USD remains in effect.
