𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭

The Electricity Distribution Supply Authority(EDSA) has announced electricity interruptions across major areas in Freetown due to technical faults.

In its daily status update, EDSA highlighted ongoing work at ten key power stations including Lower Roporti, Guma Building substation, Ballore MV, Imatts Radio MV Feeder, Gloucester transformer terminal (pending), Cassava Farm—Tree Planting, Spur Military local (pending), Sierra Lighthouse (Aberdeen) and IPAM (USL).

Upon thorough inspection, EDSA clarified that some of the faults identified in those stations include burnt cables, fallen LV poles, dangerous and Rotten MV and LV poles and rising sparks from few transformers.

EDSA has reaffirmed commitment to repairing and conduct maintenance work on the identified stations between September 22nd, 2025 to September 24th, 2025.
They assured the public that they are working diligently to complete the necessary repairs as son as possible.
