Israel-Iran Proxy War Enters Fourth Consecutive Day

On Friday, June 13th, 2025, Israel launches an attack on Iran, escalating the protracted conflict between the two countries into rapid exchange of air strikes. This has resulted in severe disruptions and fatalities.

Reports indicate that Israel ‘s first attack on Iran targets a number of strategic locations, aimed at preventing them from developing nuclear weapons. The attack has destroyed key nuclear sites and military facilities, killing several top Iranian military officials.

In retaliation, Iran also launched a series of ballistic missiles at Israel, threatening to launch an attack on America, British and French military bases if they provide any aid to Israel.

Whilst the Israel strike-attack on Iran received an endorsement from U.S President, Donald J. Trump, several other countries have condemned the attack including Russia and China.

Conversely, the European Union condemned Iran’s quest of acquiring nuclear weapons, characterizing it as a ‘destabilizing force’.

Destructions and Fatalities so far:

Iran:

  • Approximately 224 fatalities recorded and 1,481 injured according to Iran’s Health Ministry
  • Israel fired waves of missiles targeting Iran’s Capital, Tehran that hosts the Foreign Ministry building, Defense Ministry in Isfahan and an Aerial refueling aircraft at Mashhad Airport.
  • Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major Gen. Mohammad Bagheri and the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Gen. Hosssein Salami and Six Nuclear Scientists have been reportedly killed.
  • Iran’s most powerful nuclear facility, Natanz Nuclear Site, has also been damaged.

Israel:

  • In the late hours of June 15th, four Israeli Women were killed at Israel’s port city of Haifa near Tel Viv, leaving 15 injured during another wave of Iranian missile attack.
  • At least a total of 24 people have been reportedly killed, and 380 injured since the beginning of the conflict
  • Dozens of buildings have been destroyed in an Israeli town called Bat Yam, as rescue workers are searching for survivors under the debris.
