U. S Government Proposes Travel Ban, Places Sierra Leone On Visa Restriction.

1 Min Read

The United States government has released a proposed ban list of 43 countries, including Sierra Leone.

The proposed ban, if reinforced, will potentially affect citizens of the countries on the list to be faced with challenges in entering the borders of the United States of America.

The list is categorized into three; The red, labeled โ€˜All Travel Banโ€™, the Orange โ€˜Visa Sharply Restrictedโ€™ and the Yellow โ€˜60 Days to Address All Concernsโ€™.

On the list, Sierra Leone is placed on the โ€˜Visa Sharply Restrictedโ€™ category, which means, if the ban gets formalized, citizens of the country are at risk of being faced with restrictive conditions or measures in getting a U.S Visa.

This will also potentially reduce the number of Sierra Leoneans entering the U.S.

However, the U.S government also disclosed that some countries may change in the final order.
