The United States government has released a proposed ban list of 43 countries, including Sierra Leone.
The proposed ban, if reinforced, will potentially affect citizens of the countries on the list to be faced with challenges in entering the borders of the United States of America.
The list is categorized into three; The red, labeled โAll Travel Banโ, the Orange โVisa Sharply Restrictedโ and the Yellow โ60 Days to Address All Concernsโ.
On the list, Sierra Leone is placed on the โVisa Sharply Restrictedโ category, which means, if the ban gets formalized, citizens of the country are at risk of being faced with restrictive conditions or measures in getting a U.S Visa.
This will also potentially reduce the number of Sierra Leoneans entering the U.S.
However, the U.S government also disclosed that some countries may change in the final order.
