18-year-old Sierra Leonean footballer Juma Bah, who has reportedly signed to Manchester City, faces a legal threat by Real Valladolid for failing to show up for a training session.
In August 2024, La Liga Real Valladolid officially announced the acquisition of Juma Bah on loan from AIK Freetong. He was signed by the Spanish team to play as a defender on a temporary clause with the aim of signing him permanently later on.
This contract serves as a big career opportunity for Juma, putting him on a global football map. Owned by former Brazilian football the protagonist Ronaldo de Lima, Real Valladolid plays in the Spanish League, also known as “La Liga,” one of the biggest sports leagues in the world, making him appealing in the world of professional football.
After multiple appearances with Valladolid, the team wanted to take up a clause to make the signing permanent; however, Manchester City tapped in to acquire him. This purported acquisition has made Valladolid to be very disillusioned.
Juma reportedly missed a training session with Real Valladolid, prompting the Spanish club to threaten to take legal action against him. They also accuse Manchester City of facilitating the young Sierra Leonean defender to break their contract.
Reports state that Juma actually paid six million euros ($6.25 million) to the Spanish team to terminate his contract with Valladolid to make his move to Manchester City.
Juma is reportedly currently on the move to France to join RC Lens and later officially join Manchester City.
