Sierra Leone’s National Head Coach, Ahmid Karim has been reportedly fired.

According to rumours, Ahmid Karim, the Head Coach of Sierra Leone’s National Team, has been fired, along with his entire technical staff. His dismissal is attributed to a lack of efficiency in providing effective coaching for the national team, Leone Stars.This was due to the national team’s poor performances, which resulted in their failure to qualify for the 2026 African Cup of Nations.

The Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) appointed Coach Karim as Head Coach of Leone Stars on October 4, 2023, with Francis Koroma and Alhaji Foray serving as assistant coaches.

The provisional technical staff was in charge of guiding the team during African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
