FREETOWN — Popular artist Alhaji Amadu Bah, known as King Boss La, has apologised to the Mayor of Kenema over what he described as an emotional outburst in Bo on 21st March 2026.
The apology, shared on his official Facebook page on 9th April, was addressed to the Mayor, “Kenematonians,” and Sierra Leoneans at large.
King Boss La expressed deep regret, acknowledging his words and actions were disrespectful and hurtful.
“Upon reflection, I realise my expression did not reflect the respect and unity expected of me,” he wrote. “As a public figure, I understand the weight of my words and take full responsibility.”
He promised such utterances would not occur again and said he had no intention of creating division or undermining the Mayor’s dignity.
The artist, who remains in detention in Bo over the incident, reaffirmed his commitment to peace, unity, and mutual respect across the country.
He humbly asked for understanding and forgiveness as he grows from the experience.
