APC Flagbearer Ibrahim Bangura Calls for Unity, Discipline Within Party
Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), has appealed for unity, maturity, and respect among party supporters amid growing internal debates.
According to Dr. Bangura, disagreements within the APC should be handled with love and respect, stressing that party members are “competitors within a family, not enemies.” He warned that internal attacks only weaken the party’s chances of returning to power.
The APC flagbearer further stated that unity has always been the party’s greatest strength, noting that personal ambitions must not be placed above the collective goal of restoring the APC to governance and advancing national development.
He urged supporters at home and in the diaspora to respect party processes, protect the party’s image, and engage on issues rather than personalities.
Dr. Bangura also emphasized that leadership is demonstrated by how differences are managed, not by confrontation, adding that Sierra Leone’s tradition of peace must be preserved.
He concluded by calling on APC members to move forward with wisdom, patience, and love, saying the party must prove it is ready not only to win elections, but to govern responsibly.
