Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has been named West Africa’s best information minister by Afriqu’Europe Magazine, recognising his outstanding contributions to leadership and public communication and civic education in Sierra Leone.
The Editor-in-Chief of Afriqu’Europe Magazine, Lokombe Nkalulu, along with an investigative journalist, Abdoul Rahaman Bah, presented the certificate of honour to Minister Bah, commending his commitment to transparency, open access to information, and credible engagement between government and citizens.
During the presentation, representatives from the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, which led the selection process, praised Mr Minister Bah as West Africa’s Best Minister of Information, citing his unwavering commitment to promoting civic awareness and strengthening public trust in government communication systems.
This recognition underscores not only Minister Bah’s personal achievement but also the Ministry’s broader vision of building an informed, engaged, and empowered citizenry through inclusive and transparent communication.
