Sierra Leonean Performer Eddie John Browne Sets Guinness World Record
A Sierra Leonean-born contortionist has spun his way into the history books. Eddie John Browne, who has performed with Cirque du Soleil, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the most full-body revolutions while holding a chest stand position in one minute. He completed an astonishing 38 spins.
Speaking after the achievement, Browne said his record was about more than movement.
βThis is a message from the body β that even in silence, we can bend history. From Sierra Leone to Cirque du Soleil to the Guinness World Records. I didnβt just spin, I spoke. I didnβt just break records, I broke limits.β
The performer dedicated the moment to those often overlooked:
βFor every kid who was told to sit still. For every dreamer with a different body. For the quiet ones who move like a stormβ¦ You are seen. You are the story. You are the record.β
Browneβs triumph places Sierra Leone once again on the global stage β this time not for athletics or music, but for the art of physical expression.
