His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has suspended Justice Allan Baami Holloway as Judge of the Superior Court of Judicature with immediate effect. His suspension will remain enforced until the outcome of the disciplinary tribunal instituted to investigate his conduct.

The suspension has been made pursuant to section 137(6) of the Constitution of Sierra Leone, 1991 (Act No. 6 of 1991), on the advice of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission.

This decision, as written in a press statement from state house, was reach after a meeting was held on the 15th of September, 2025, citing misconduct of the Supreme Court Judge.

Although his alleged act of misconduct was not clearly stated, the Supreme Court judge recently wrote to the Chief Justice, Komba Kamanda, raising series of allegations against him.

In his letter, Justice Halloway accused the Chief Justice of breaching of the Constitution of Sierra Leone (1991) provisions, human rights violations, blocking his fuel allocations, withholding his mid-month allowance and attempting to stop his salary payments. As such, he recommended for the resignation or removal of the Chief Justice.
