Recently, reports were making rounds on social media regarding an alleged sexual penetration leading to the death of an eight-year-old girl. According to the reports, the girl was sexually abused by her school teacher on the school premises and later died.

Speaking to Liberty Online Television, ASP Mohamed Bobson Senu, Deputy Head of Media and Public Relations Officer confirms the purported sexual penetration incident and provides further information on police report. According to him, the incident occurred on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at Filmond Preparatory School, Green Lane, Off Savage Square, and the police received the report on November 7th this year.

He added that as soon as the police received the report, they commenced their investigation. He also mentioned that the girl was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident, and the hospital’s nurses recommended that the police be notified of the issue. The hospital also provided medical examination documents to aid the police with their investigation. The girl tragically passed away at the PCMH on November 8.

ASP Senu informed that James Mohamed Jalloh, the suspect, is currently under police custody for further investigation. He has been moved to the Central Investigation Department (CID) as part of a joint investigation being conducted by the police and the Family Support Unit.
