Sierra Leoneโs rising singer and hip hop star, Jelly Bee, tragically passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after battling with her health.
Jelly Bee was born on June 16, 1998 in Taiama, Bo district. She was a vibrant young lady who started her music career in 2016. She reportedly won Best Female Rapper for four consecutive years at the Bo Entertainment Awards.
Between 2023 to 2024, the 26 years old artist gained prominence in Sierra Leoneโs entertainment industry with multiple hit songs, including High Tension, I GBOYA featuring Deeno Jay, and “Better Than” featuring Nega Don of LXG.
Her most recent viral hit song, High Tension, has gained over 30 thousand videos on the TikTok platform.
She also hits multiple streaming milestones across major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Audiomack, YouTube, etc.
Because of her culturally impactful music career, she was heavily booked to perform as a guest artist in major music festivals, including ECOFEST, MADENG, GBAMGBAODE, etc.
