The National Telecommunications Authority (NatCA), an electronic regulatory entity responsible for regulating electronic communications, has issued a press statement instructing all Mobile Network Operators (MNO) to adhere to the advertised subscription validity, whether daily, weekly, or monthly. This signifies that the data you subscribed for should be valid throughout the period of the subscription.
This direction comes after several complaints from mobile network users across the country over not attaining the duration timeline of subscription validity.
NatCA furthered that there are ongoing discussions on the implementation of a Fair Usage Policy, a policy that limits the data usage of individual subscribers.
The electronic regulatory body also announced that they have encouraged all mobile network operators to compensate consumers for recent network interruptions. Additionally, NaTCA also states that bonuses for data and recharges are available across all MNOs.
NaTCA ends by reassuring the public that they would continue to strive to improve consumer satisfaction.
